Pitt Road Ministry

PITT Road is a ministry that was created after the move to our current location; a former Wal-Mart complete with a four bay facility used for tire repair and oil changes. Gary Miller our assistant pastor, who in a former life was an airplane mechanic, saw this as another avenue of connection into our community. Today this ministry accepts donated vehicles which a team of volunteer mechanics gets into good running order before gifting them to individuals and families that are in need. Additionally, as time and funds allow, both minor and major repairs are provided to those that find themselves in difficult financial situations.

Funding for PITT Road is provided in several ways:

    1. Through the MCCh budget.
    2. Interested individuals or businesses contribute funds and vehicles.
    3. Individuals who benefit from the ministry can sometimes later contribute back into the fund.

The focus of PITT Road has primarily been to assist single mothers and widows. However, we try to help anyone who finds it impossible to have their vehicle repaired due to their financial situation. We also help various para-church organizations such as women's shelters and single mothers’ homes.

You can help by: Volunteering your time, donating a vehicle, contributing directly into the fund and most importantly, praying for the work and for the people that we help.
