JESUS CHANGES EVERYTHING

THERE'S NO BETTER DECISION

Believers in Jesus understand that God gives everyone an opportunity for a fresh start no matter what they have done and no matter what trauma they may have experienced. Being a Christian is not about rules or going to church. It is not about living right or reading the Bible. Becoming a Christian is primarily about becoming a follower of Jesus Christ and having an ongoing relationship with him. This might seem impossible since Jesus was born 2,000 years ago somewhere in the Middle East and was executed by the authorities of his day.

The heart of being a Christian is rooted in the belief that Jesus was, and is, God in human form and that he lived, died, and came back from the dead. After coming back from the dead, we believe he returned to heaven. We believe that his life, death, and resurrection enable us and humanity to have a relationship with God himself!

Along with believing in Jesus - becoming a Christian involves something we call "Repentance".  Repentance is simply the moment we admit to God, by praying to him, that we have been going in a wrong direction. Repentance is a spiritual posture of turning away from a pattern of self-destructive behavior in exchange for a life of fulfillment in God's plans for our lives. At this moment of surrender we put our lives under the constant loving desires of God!

Anyone then, who genuinely prays to God asking for forgiveness and who surrenders to God's desires for their life will be granted that forgiveness and they join a new community of believers and family of faith. Jesus has sent his spirit to every believer to teach us "all things" and to guide our consciences toward love and good deeds.  Christians also believe that the Bible is full of stories of people's lives being completely changed after encountering Jesus.  Millions of people around the world have encountered Jesus who has changed their lives forever!

Giving your life to Jesus changes everything. Jesus came to reveal who God is and to restore our relationship with Him. No matter your past mistakes or your present fears, Jesus can give you a new life in Him. All you need to do is put your faith in Him.

The Bible says this in Romans 10:9, “If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

It is a turning from our old ways and turning to Jesus, to ask Him for forgiveness from our sins and to give us new life in Him.

You can say a simple prayer like this, just be sure to mean it from your heart.

"God, I know that I have sinned. I am reaching out to you because I want forgiveness. I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness. I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me! Amen!"

JOHN 3:16

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

WHO IS JESUS?

JESUS IS GOD AND HUMAN

Jesus is God but in human form. He walked on this earth just like we do. See John 1:1, 5:17-18, and Philippians 2:5-11. The eternal Son of God, Jesus, already existed in heaven before coming to earth (see John 17:5), but then was born to a virgin through the power of the Holy Spirit (see Matthew 1:20).

JESUS CHRIST IS THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD.

Here’s the bad news, we have all sinned (Romans 3:23), but this is why Jesus came. To pay the penalty for our sin, so we don’t have to. It was through His death on the cross that Jesus satisfied sin’s payment so those who accept Him as Lord and Savior can experience forgiveness and eternal life.

JESUS CHANGES LIVES.

People who followed Jesus turned away from their old life of sin and turned to God. Jesus delivered people from demon oppression like Mary Magdalene (Luke 8:2). He invited people like Matthew, who was a despised tax collector (Matthew 9:9). He invited ordinary people like a fisherman named Peter (Matthew 4:18). For nearly 2,000 years, Jesus Christ has been changing the lives of people all over the world. He can do this for you too!

JESUS LIVES IN HEAVEN AT FATHER GOD’S RIGHT HAND.

After Jesus rose from the dead, He went to heaven to the place where he was with the Father prior to coming to earth. From there, he is able to hear our prayers (Romans 8:34).

JESUS CHRIST WILL RECEIVE YOU IF YOU COME TO HIM.

Jesus said He would not turn anyone away who wants to come to Him (John 6:37). He’s ready to start a personal relationship with you. Your past is never too bad for Jesus to come and help you. It’s time to come to Him and receive His free gift of salvation.

ROMANS 5:8

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
