Tech Director/Facilities Manager

JOB FUNCTION: Tech Director/Facilities Manager

Directly manage all aspects of live production for MCCh Sunday experiences and special events. Assist in managing and overseeing the buildings, grounds, equipment, building systems, and general security, ensuring the facilities are fully operational, safe, and prepared for services and ministry activities. Assist with coordination and supervision of paid and volunteer facility
staff/projects.

 SUPERVISOR:

This position reports to the Creative Arts Pastor and Director of Operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

  • Manage and grow AVL systems and approaches to stay consistent with the vision of MCCh
  • Grow, manage, and equip volunteers in production area for weekend services and events
  • Weekend commitment for production during weekend services
  • Stay up to date on production and staging trends as well as technical knowledge of new software, equipment and products, attending trainings as necessary
  • Implement and execute the overall vision of the Creative Arts Pastor as instructed
  • Effectively maintain AV equipment and replace and upgrade as necessary as budget permits under direction of the Creative Arts Pastor
  • Uphold and maintain vision of Maple City Chapel and pass on to volunteers
  • Assist with evaluating all aspects of the facility
  • Perform routine maintenance and make repairs as necessary
  • Assist with coordinating the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
  • Assist with maintaining and implementing building systems and technology
  • Assist with the construction, repair, and installation of various projects for ministry needs
  • Ensure church grounds are well-maintained
  • Coordinate event setup tasks
  • Look for opportunities to improve the cost and energy efficiency of our facility
  • Other duties as assigned

 PREREQUISITES :

  • 2-3 year of experience in a similar position with a background in Lighting Programming, Video and Audio Production
  • Ability to troubleshoot various AVL issues
  • Experience programming lighting shows & video walls and familiarity with Dante, Blackmagic, DAWs, and other AVL Software is encouraged
  • Building operations, construction, or other applicable experience is preferred
