START BUILDING YOUR FOUNDATION

You've just decided to enter into a relationship with Jesus. Like any relationship, it helps if you get to know the other person. There are many ways to connect with and get to know God, but some of the most foundational are Bible reading and prayer. Start spending time with God by reading through your Bible. Not sure where to start? Try reading one of the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John) so you can get to know the story of Jesus.

CONNECT BREAKFAST

We'd love to connect with you at Maple City Chapel! We want to learn more about your story and be there to discuss any questions you have about your faith, Jesus, and our church. Our Connect Breakfast is a casual dialogue where you can feel free to bring your questions.

STARTING POINT

At Maple City, we want to help you ask hard questions about your faith right from the start. That's why we offer a class called "Starting Point." This is an 8-week class held at the church that helps you think critically about why we follow Jesus. This class is for new believers as well as anyone wanting to get a fresh starting point of faith.

BAPTISM

Baptism is a outward expression of the inward grace we have received in Jesus. It is a public proclamation that you are a follower of Jesus, no turning back. Maple City Chapel practices believer’s baptism which means that a person should be baptized when they make a personal decision to follow Christ. We submerge each person in the water as a symbol of our death in sin, and then we are raised back up out of the water to symbolize our resurrection to new life through Jesus.

FIND A PLACE TO BELONG

God designed us to grow in our faith with other believers. We challenge each other, build one another up, take care of each other and most importantly, point each other back to Jesus. We highly recommend joining a Life Group. These are small groups of believers meeting all over Elkhart County to regularly encourage each other in their faith. We also have a variety of groups specific to gender or phase of life where you can begin making like-minded friends.

FIND YOUR PLACE TO SERVE

We aren't just called to be observers and armchair participants in our faith, we're called to engage! There are so many opportunities to get involved in serving in our community. One way is by serving in the church. Ministry only happens during the week because of amazing volunteers stepping in and using the gifts God has given them to make a difference. Trust us, you're not underqualified. God will equip you for every situation. Don't be afraid to dive in.
